Hi, this is Metsy.
So good to see the photo's, glad David Bailey only chose to focus on the back of my head you really wouldn't want to see the front. Following on from what Lucy said I agree, I found Saturday so productive. I was extremely nervous because I haven't worked with actors in that capacity before.
It was really good to see Danusia in her comfort zone, and I'd like to thank Helen and Tyrone for their comments and productivity. It was really nice to see how everyone's approach was so different. For the life blood of theatre the industry needs new writers, directors, and practitioners who have something new to give, judging by what I witnessed on Saturday the future of theatre is promising. I felt part of a cohesive team and learnt so much from everybody.
I think I should mention the designs that Mark has produced. I would like to thank Mark for his hard work. Looking forward to Wednesday when the team can discuss this further.Thinking of setting my dates for casting. I will be directing Danny and the Deep blue Sea and need actors who would be comfortable speaking with a Bronx accent. I am keen to cast a Black or Asian actor for the role of Danny and would like a female brunette who could pass for Italian. Anyone looking on this site who can be of help get in touch ASAP.
There is a lot I don't know but you can never know too much. For me this experience is about growth and I've learnt so much in such a short space of time. I'm thrilled to be part of the Makers of Theatre festival, it's made me more couragous. And with courage I know I won't be afraid to produce work that poses questions of me and to an audience watching xx
